Accessories act as major highlights to an outfit. These are the basic accessories you need to pop your look and make you look chic any day, anywhere and at anytime.

1. Sunglasses: I personally use sunglasses as a beauty hack when I have heavy eyes or eye bags. Sunglasses do not only protect your eyes from UV rays in the day time but also helps you exude confidence and as you know, confidence is the best accessory. This is a fact a lot of us do not pay attention to.

2. A cute bag: Are you ever fully dressed without a bag? This is one of the basic accessories you already know about. However, I am going to emphasize the importance of a cute bag or purse. Your handbag is symbolic, it is an expression of your style. It helps you have a sharper appearance and also highlights your outfit. A good and quality purse completes every outfit. This is a house to other little accessories and necessities you love to carry around.

3. Lipstick and Lip-gloss: This is usually not included amongst the top 10 fashion accessories in many articles but it is my Number 3. Lipsticks or lip-glosses do not only accentuate the lips and enhance your natural beauty, but they are also details in any look.

Lip-glosses make your lips look fuller and moist while a lipstick applies colours to your lips therefore, it is understandable as to why they are very detailing. You do not want your lips looking chapped, I suggest you invest in quality lip-glosses and lipsticks.

4. Quality Jewellery: 'Quality over quantity'. Wearing quality jewellery isn't only classy but also alarming. When I accessorise with jewelleries I always have this quote at the back of my mind, ' The lesser, the better'. Why embed your wrists with multiples when one or two gold or silver bracelets would do? Simple is always chic and for a more uniform look, match same colours of jewellery, like gold with gold and silver with silver. Your bracelets, ear rings and necklaces enhance your overall appearance and makes a statement about your style. I personally cannot do without jewellery, I advice you make it a habit.

5. A belt : Belts are fashion essentials no matter their sizes. I consider 25mm, 30mm and 40mm width belts to be the best sizes of belts because, they act as multipurpose belts. They are of perfect sizes for jean trousers and are perfect sizes to use as waist belts for gown hacks. I love to use my 25mm belt to style my free gowns and also give myself the fitting I need. When putting on these sizes of belts I don't bother hiding them beneath my shirt, the visibility of this belt makes your look a bold one. (I will leave a link below to guide you into recognizing different sizes of belts).

FOR DRY AND ROUGH SKIN.

Maximize your quarantine trying out this natural face mask to pass time and also earn yourself a beautiful facial glow.

Honey and Avocado are both natural antioxidants which help to keep the skin smooth, moisturized and healthy. Honey also opens clogged pores and helps in acne treatment and prevention. This face mask is a perfect regimen for dry and rough skin.

WHAT TO DO:

1. Get a ripe avocado, remove its skin and seed.

2. Mash the avocado in a clean bowl until it is creamy.

3. Add 1 tablespoon of honey.

4. Stir until the honey blends properly with the avocado cream.

5. Apply the mixture to skin.

6. Leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes.

7. Rinse off the mixture with lukewarm water.

8. Pat- dry with a clean towel.

This face mask is very economical as only two products are used. After trying this face mask out, I could understand why dermatologists say natural products are perfect for the skin. This face mask makes your face smooth and moist, the glowing effect it gives is very noticeable. I recommend this DIY for dry and rough skin.

I will subsequently post DIY face masks for other skin types as time goes on, so if you don't fall into this category not to worry, I will be of help to you soon enough.

Aesthetic Diary 0.1 :

I lost myself a while ago to the things I wanted people to believe I was but wasn’t. The most unconscious decisions the Internet makes you make and forget who you are as a person.

The decisions that make you look down on the talents that are inbuilt in you just because the internet is not loud about it. The unconscious effort you make to subside a personality trait because you are afraid of backlash and judgement.

Trying to look like someone you perceive as unique by diminishing the uniqueness in you.

You’ve failed to realize that these people you idolize have their different personalities. They are not the same people, they have different characters and attitude traits. They are true to themselves and that is why they are unique and noticed.

You on the other hand, can never be unique by trying to be someone else. You can never be comfortable with who you are when you’re not true to yourself.

People would never perceive you as unique if they don’t see the uniqueness in you. Stop trying to live someone else's personality, you are only hiding your own version of 'unique'.

'HOW THEN DO YOU WANT TO GET NOTICED WHEN YOU ARE THE SHADOW OF SOME ELSE?'

Everyone is entitled to being the image they are created to be. Everyone is allowed to admire something good and copy it.

However, do not get so lost in copying, that you start to copy the entirety of the mirror image of someone else’s personality when you have yours.

I say ‘MIRROR IMAGE’, because you never really know people in totality via the Internet.

I found myself between the lines of these facts and I have never been as self confident and revived as I am right now. There’s so much going on in my life right now that I am grateful for and I would never have come this far without this realization.

Do not underestimate the power of SELF AUTHENTICITY.
